Below is some information about The Trinity Golf Society
The Trinity Golf Society was set up in 1990 by a group of former OMW rugby, hockey and cricket players looking to play social golf together on a more regular basis. The first captain was none other than Jez Glynne-Jones who has been a regular Society player ever since.
The Captain for 2024 will be another stalwart of the Midwives, Nick Woodman, seen here (left) taking over the reins from the 2023 captain, Jamie Binks.
The Society has evolved over the last 30 years with membership open to all former pupils and members of staff from Trinity School, as well as players and supporters of the other sports teams and clubs of The Trinity Club. A number of members’ friends have also played at Society events as guests and gone on to become regular members.
The aim of the Society is to provide the opportunity for relaxed, enjoyable and fun social golf. There are five Society Golf Days a year played on some great golf courses across Surrey, Sussex and Kent with individual Winner’s trophies and other prizes on the day. Overall results from the five events go towards a Player of the Year award.
We run an annual Presidents Cup singles KO and the Luke Foster pairs KO competitions as well as a 2 - 3 day Tour. There is an annual fixture against the Old Whits and we support the Trinity School charity golf day as well.
We are keen to encourage new members to join the Society particularly if they have a link to Trinity School or The Trinity Club - or why not try a golf day as a guest player? You do not have to be a member of a golf club nor have an official handicap - but it helps if you know how to play the game!

The first fixture of the 2024 season kicks off on Friday 12th April at Purley Downs GC – we would love to see you there or at any of our golf days this year – East Sussex National (May), Betchworth Park June), Sweetwoods (July) and Pyecombe (Sept).
